Dr. Marsha Boveja Riggio is an Associate Professor and Program Chair for the Counseling program within the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology/Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina (the other USC) and has 15 years of higher education experience with her most recent Faculty/Chair appointments at Johns Hopkins University and Argosy University. Dr. Riggio has more than 20 years of mental health experience; is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in MD and DC; a National Certified Counselor; and has a private counseling, supervision, and consulting practice. She is a US Army Veteran where she was a Behavioral Science Sergeant/Mental Health Officer for 15 years. Dr. Riggio’s research interests are around adolescents, military families, supervision, and transculturalism.
