Outdoor Therapeutics is a mental health private practice in Frederick, MD that specializes in nature-based clinical treatment and wellness programs for holistic healing. We serve community youth and adults ages 5 and up struggling with a wide range of mental health challenges through unique and accessible treatment models. Description
We are looking for a friendly Clinical Supervisor with a strength-based approach to human relations, knowledge of trauma-informed workplaces, attention to detail, and organizational proficiency in program management and health records. This position will report to the Practice Owner.
Minimum Qualifications
- · Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in mental health counseling
- · MD-Board Approved Supervisor and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- · Active, unencumbered professional license in the state of MD to provide therapy services
- · At least one year of experience providing clinical supervision
- · Legally permitted to work in the United States and able to pass a criminal background check
- · Knowledge of CARF standards and COMAR regulations preferred
- · Strong verbal and written communication skills
Position Responsibilities
- · Oversight and management of assigned supervisees (3-4)
- · Direct clinical care to 20 clients per week
- · Facilitates monthly group supervision including special topic discussion and case conceptualizations
- · Provides administrative and clinical supervision on a weekly basis to direct supervisees (LGPCs and Graduate Counseling Interns)
- · Maintains documentation of provided supervision sessions
- · Administrative auditing of client charts for compliance with COMAR regulation, agency policy and procedures & insurance standards
- · Conducts periodic performance evaluations, needed corrective action, and related activities
- · Conducts quality note review for direct supervisees monthly
- · Oversight and approval of administrative clinic intakes, referrals, and discharges for assigned supervisees
- · Maintains working knowledge of mental health treatment models and DSM 5 diagnostic criteria
- · Works independently, yet collaboratively, as a member of the clinical and admin team
- · Oversees case reassignments for caseload of terminated/resigned supervisees includes audit of charts as well timely reassignment of cases
- · Back up oversight of interns during internships and practicums when Practice Owner is unavailable
